Our Mission

The Community Garden Health Block’s mission is:

  • To facilitate a process for the building and growth of community gardens through partnerships (what we do). 
  • Ensure ownership of space dedicated to gardening (what we do). 
  • Leverage resources and support an infrastructure to maintain garden growth and distribute healthy foods (what we do). 
  • Facilitate equity in access to healthy and nutritious food (what we do) that improves health outcomes (why) in low resource communities (who).

Our Vision

Our vision is to transform and improve the health of communities in Arkansas by promoting food justice and equity in access to fresh, healthy, and nutritious foods through a network of sustained community gardens in low-resource communities.
